1:00pm-3:30pm, Community Emergency Response Team Training at San Pedro Community Center, An emergency does not have to be a national disaster in can be as simple as a power outage. It is the largest U.S. outage yet to fall under tough, mandatory reliability standards put in place after the 2003 Northeast blackout. This is an example of a situation that can adversely affect all of us. What will you do without electricity for a sustained amount of time? That means no ATM’s, no gas, no online banking, no TV, no Computers, no heat and air conditioning, no street lights, no refrigeration, etc.. – are you prepared?
