6:30pm, BATTLESHIP USS IOWA FEATURED AT MEETING. A USS IOWA presentation by the Pacific Battleship Center will be featured at Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council’s January 12 Stakeholder Meeting at the Croatian Cultural Center, 510 W. 7th Street, San Pedro. Refreshments at 6:00 p.m., meeting at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. This project’s objective is to bring the battleship to the Port of Los Angeles providing educational, historical and financial benefits to the area. Also on the agenda, the Council is continuing to focus on public safety with a presentation on iWatch, an LAPD community awareness program created to educate the public about behaviors and activities that may have a connection to terrorism.
